another addition to my 25-motif challenge--this makes 17.

I couldn't wait to try out the new Christmas thread from Lizbeth (size 20, color #116). It's amazing how the thread fits itself to the snowflake pattern which measures 4" (once again I am at a loss about the origin of the pattern).

This bookmark was tatted for my son at his request. I loved doing it for him. He is always interested in my blog updates.
The pattern is from my Japanese book and the thread is the dark red variable, color #147, size 20.

This is called a thumb rosary. I had never heard of these nor seen one, but one of my friends used one when she went walking. Hers was silver and just fit over her thumb. This one measures about 2", including the beads which are crystal. The thread is DMC Cebelia size 20. I will try this again using finer thread and smaller beads.
The angels are from Mark Myers' book, "Tatted Gathering of Angels". I used size 50 thread (from an old stash) with no info but the size. The one with the cross measures 1.75" while the other is a little smaller (tatting was tighter, i guess). I plan on donating these to "The Preemie Project" at the Univ. Hospital, for them to sell at a
craft sale. If they sell, I will tat more of them for the Christmas
sale.

Wow - did you use a pattern for those angels, or have you made them just from the top of your head?
Wish I could make some like that too!
