3 more for my 25-motif challenge--5, 6, & 7

The bookmark with the tail is from Mary Maynard's "Rings of Flowers". I used size 70 thread, color #18A. It is flower # 57. I was fascinated by the way the inner petals lay on top of the outer ones. Turns out that it was an easy exercise.

I wanted to give a flower to a friend who was having a 90th birthday, but didn't finish till a week too late. So I bought her a real one. This is from Linda Davies" "Summer Collection of Tatted Flowers". It is the purple allium. A florist told me they come in all shades of purple. This shade seemed to fit the lady. I used DMC size 20, color #210.

The ornament is tatted using razzle dazzle bright red and silver, tho the colors don't show very well. The thread size is about size 20. I used Linn Mortons' book "Tatting Patterns" and "Hearts and Flowers #1" is the pattern.

The next bookmark satisfied my determination to do a project with clunies. The pattern is from "Simple Angel Lesson Series Part 5 - Bookmarks/Edging by Sabina Carden-Madden. It was a real challenge and some of the clunies show that I'm an amateur. Oh well, i have something i'm fairly proud of doing. The thread is Lizbeth size 20, color #121.

I have a larger collection of shuttles than i realized until I tried to lay them out for a photo. They were all purchased at an antique show, some as far back as the 1970's. There are no two exactly alike. Some are quite different and quite collectible, and one is sterling silver.
