I am finally posting my tatting for the 2010 25-motif challenge.
The first piece for the year was the butterfly bookmark. The thread was a present from one of my friends--what a great gift and it was one that I didn't already have (amazing). The pattern is the butterfly bookmark by Jane Eborall (such talent) done in Lizbeth size 20, color #119. That brand of thread is a joy to work with. The bookmark was immediately given to the lady that gave me the thread.
Then I tatted the four-ring snowflake by Wendy Durell. The red thread is also from a friend who received it from her grandmother. It is Clark's O.N.T. size 30, color #126--quite old but in great condition. The white is Cebelia DMC.
I used the same threads for the bookmark from "Tat Marks the Spot" by Karey Solomon. Her name for the bookmark is Circle of Friends.
Then I started on a project in conjunction with my friends and the hearts both go for that. They from are from "Tat's Amore" by Martha Ess. I really enjoy tatting from her designs. She, too, has great talent. The white heart is Antique Rose Heart and is done with Cebelia DMC size 30. The pink one is "Scallop Shell Heart" and uses Cebelia DMC size 30 in color #818.
I am in the process of tatting another heart from the same book for the same project. Hopefully, I'll be able to show you the finished product, but not till summer.
